Results of our Partnership with the Lions Club!
Each year, we partner with the local Lions Club to urge our patients to donate old and unwanted prescription eyewear so that people who couldn’t afford them normally would have access to a free pair.
We’re pleased to report that our partnership with the Lions Club, which we call “Lions Recycle for Sight”, has been a huge success! Recently, we were able to collect a total of 380 pairs of glasses, over 40 pairs of sunglasses, and hundreds of individual sets of lenses for those in need – making us the largest donation source in the area. In the picture above, you can see our optician, Dan (pictured on the right) passing off everything we collected to Chuck from the Lions Club (pictured on the left).
By partnering together with a great local organization, we can give the gift of sight to so many in our area and beyond. Chuck and Dan weren’t the only ones happy about the number of glasses collected; everyone at the Lions Club and Eye Centers of Florida are thrilled about the chance to help so many in need!
Thanks to everyone involved, whether you donated an old pair of eyewear or lenses, or worked and continue to work together with us during this drive. We really appreciate how the community can come together to create a real benefit for the less fortunate!
